Forest Hills to close front nine holes Nov. 2

Keith Stoll, general manager and PGA professional at Forest Hills Golf Course in La Crosse, isn’t quite ready to close down the course yet.
“What a great golf season we had in 2021, from the early start in spring to the spectacular fall weather, we have been blessed with so far,” he said. “Don't put your clubs away just yet as there is still time to knock out a few more rounds this year before we put the course to bed for the winter.”
However, the front nine holes will be closed beginning Tuesday, Nov. 2. New drainage will be installed on the fourth hole along with a 12-inch outlet pipe that will run from the fourth hole across to the ninth hole. This project will take close to a month to complete, according to Stoll.
The back nine and practice range will remain open until the course  closes down for the season. No closing date has been set at this time.
